New Canadian Citizenship Certificate

As of February 1, 2012, Citizenship and Immigration Canada is no longer producing the plastic wallet-size citizenship certificate. Instead a new letter-sized Canadian Citizenship Certificate will be issued, which will display information that can be validated through a new electronic validation system.

Canadian Citizenship Certificates issued before February 1, 2012, will remain valid. For more information, please visit the CIC website.
