The Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus has released its flash GDP estimate for the first quarter of 2017.
The island nation has seen its first-quarter GDP increase by 3.4% compared to the same quarter last year. It is the highest growth the country has seen since 2008.
Increasing economic activity is good news for Cyprus as business and labour market conditions improve as well.
Cyprus is seeing especially strong growth in its real estate sector thanks to the country’s citizenship by investment program. An investment in real estate is one of the application requirements.
