This is how you can secure a 20-year residency in one of Europe’s fastest-growing markets.
A stable market, a low-tax economy, and one of the best destinations offering a high quality of life—this is Hungary, with even more benefits, making it a strategic move. With just a EUR 250,000 investment, Hungary could be your premier choice for European residency.
Launched on July 1, 2024, the Hungary Investor Visa Program—also known as the Guest Investor Program—offers non-EU nationals a streamlined path to secure a 10-year renewable residency permit with no minimum stay requirement through qualified investments.
“The Hungarian Guest Investor Immigration Program is an ideal opportunity for entrepreneurs looking to secure both financial security and a bespoke lifestyle in the heart of Europe,” said Armand Arton, CEO and President of Arton Capital.
Hungary presents a compelling case for investment, with its centrally located position within Europe, high quality of life, and relatively low cost of living compared to other European capitals. The country’s political stability and pragmatic approach to emerging global dynamics make it an attractive option for those seeking a secure and stable base in Europe.
“With competitive investment options in authorized real estate funds and seamless Schengen Area access, the program delivers on its promise of global freedom and unchained opportunities,” Arton noted.
Successful applicants to the Guest Investor Program enjoy several advantages, including a 10-year renewable Hungarian residence permit for qualifying investors and their families. The program allows for the inclusion of the spouse, children under 18 years of age, as well as parents and parents-in-law. Beneficiaries gain the right to live, work, and study in Hungary, enjoy visa-free travel within Europe’s Schengen Area, and benefit from no minimum stay requirement in Hungary.
The Hungary GIP now offers two pathways to permanent status, following the Hungarian government’s recent decision to cancel the real estate investment option as a route to secure residence:
On October 29, 2024, the Hungarian government officially licensed its first real estate investment fund, SPRINT Hungary Real Estate Development and Investment Fund, a pivotal update to the program.
The SPRINT Hungary Real Estate Development and Investment Fund marks a significant advancement for Hungary’s GIP. As the only government-licensed fund under the program, it provides a tangible investment option for those seeking residency through this route while potentially stimulating foreign investment in Hungary’s real estate sector.
The fund is a 20-year closed-end real estate fund, with an option for an additional 20-year extension. It focuses on a diverse range of property types, including residential, logistics, hotel, and office projects, primarily within Hungary.
“As one of the very few approved partners for this program, and with more than a decade of experience operating in Hungary, we are proud to offer our clients unmatched expertise and guidance every step of the way,” Arton emphasized.
As the exclusive partner for the Hungary Guest Investor Program outside Greater China, Arton Capital utilizes its extensive experience to provide seamless support and customized solutions for applicants.
